Hi, I'm Daniel

I'm a Comp-Science Student

I'm Daniel, a 20-year-old Computer Science student currently heading into my third year of study. My passions include coding, content creation, and table tennis. As I actively seek an internship to further enhance my skills and gain real-world experience, this portfolio serves as a showcase of my capabilities. Here, you'll find examples of my work, the services I offer, and the projects I've completed, all reflecting my dedication to technology and continuous learning.

About Me

I am a Store Colleague at Holland & Barrett, a leading health and wellness retailer, and a Computer Science student at the Technological University Dublin (TUD). I combine my passion for technology with my experience in customer service and sales to provide tailored solutions for customers and enhance their well-being.

At Holland & Barrett, I have developed skills in inventory management, teamwork, and multitasking. I have also contributed to increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty, as well as achieving sales targets and store objectives. At TUD, I have acquired a solid foundation in programming, data structures, algorithms, and web development. I am particularly interested in machine learning and artificial intelligence, and how they can be applied to solve real-world problems.

Services

Frontend Development

I’m currently going into my third year of college, where I’ve been deeply immersed in coding and web development. I've developed a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I continuously practice building responsive and user-friendly websites in my own time. My goal is to create intuitive interfaces that offer an engaging user experience.

Backend Development

During my college studies, I've gained solid experience in backend development, working with languages such as Python and Java. I’ve also been practicing in my free time to hone my skills in server-side programming and database management. My focus is on creating efficient and secure backend systems that ensure smooth functionality and performance.

Photoshop

Photoshop has been a personal hobby of mine for quite some time. I love exploring different design techniques and bringing creative ideas to life through digital art. You can see some of my Photoshop designs in the thumbnails for my projects below. I take pride in my attention to detail and enjoy experimenting with color, composition, and visual storytelling.

Cisco Networking

In college, I've been trained in Cisco networking as part of my coursework. I’ve learned about network configurations, troubleshooting, and security protocols. I also practice these skills outside of class to ensure I'm up-to-date with the latest technologies. Networking is a critical component of IT, and I’m committed to mastering it for a well-rounded skill set.

Game Design

Game design is a new and exciting area I’ve just started exploring. I’m currently learning Lua and experimenting with basic game mechanics. While I’m still in the early stages, I’m passionate about creating immersive and interactive experiences. This journey is a learning process, and I’m eager to develop my skills further in game development.

Video Editing

Video editing is another personal hobby that I’ve been pursuing for quite some time. I enjoy crafting stories through visual media, experimenting with different editing styles, and creating engaging content. Whether it’s for personal projects or college assignments, I find video editing to be a powerful tool for expression and communication.
